DevTech is seeking a dynamic and experienced Facilitator/Trainer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and delivering training programs and facilitating workshops to a diverse range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as a passion for learning and development.
The Facilitator/Trainer will support activities across our company contributing to our portfolio of US Government programs, including programs funded by the United States Agency for International Develop and the Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs, among others. The Facilitator/Trainer will be embedded within DevTech’s MERL team and report to the MERL Director.
The VDT is a two-year activity (2023-2025) addressing regulatory gaps and promoting private sector engagement in the rapidly growing digital economy. The USAID VDT Activity supports the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT)’s implementation of frameworks that facilitate digital trade, with an emphasis on supporting The MOIT in holding public-private dialogues to ensure implementation is carried out in consultation with the private sector. The VDT Activity is working with the MOIT on regulations that are responsive to private sector needs remove bottlenecks in trade faced by enterprises and increase regulatory transparency, helping to shape an e-commerce sector where enterprises of all sizes can benefit. The Activity encourages the participation of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in digital trade by introducing new business models and other best practices, including the traceability of goods, as well as facilitating cross-border connections between enterprises via MOIT’s digital trade promotion platform.
DevTech is currently managing USAID/Indonesia’s Economic Growth Support Activity (EGSA). EGSA has three objectives: i) enabling evidence-based decision making through ongoing analysis that links together the United State Government’s Indo-Pacific Strategy (IPS), Journey to Self-Reliance (J2SR), and Government of Indonesia (GOI) priorities (CDCS); (ii) improving Government of Indonesia (GOI technical capacity in tax collection, public expenditure, and financial accountability; and (iii) improving the business enabling environment for foreign and domestic business entities.
USAID EGSA is supporting the Ministry of National Development Planning/Bappenas in its efforts to develop a roadmap for economic transformation for the Province of East Kalimantan. One component of the roadmap formulation is understanding the socio-economic structure of East Kalimantan, relevant strategic issues, key stakeholders, and potential sectors for growth. Therefore EGSA is looking for a Senior Regional Economist consultant to develop a study analyzing the socio-economic structure of East Kalimantan and devise strategies to strengthen the economy in the region. The output of this study will inform the formulation of National Medium-term Development Plan (RPJMN) 2025 – 2029.
Requirement
- Professional and updated knowledge of regional economics research methods and databases in Indonesia
- Extensive experience in research about regional economics and economic growth at subnational level
- Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, both written and oral
- Prior work experience leading relevant research in GOI agencies.
- Ability to prepare and present comprehensive reports for Government technical and executive level audiences.

USAID/Indonesia has been supported GOI in its effort to relocate the state capital from Jakarta to Nusantara Capital City (Ibu Kota Nusantara or IKN) in East Kalimantan. Since July 2022, USAID, through EGSA, has been assisting GOI's Nusantara Capital City Authority (NCCA) in establishing a Project Management Office (PMO) within NCCA's Transitional Team, followed by providing experts to the Deputy of Green and Digital Transformation. In late 2023, EGSA was also tasked to provide three experts to the office of Deputy for Environment and Natural Resources in NCCA.
